FAQ
How do sessions work?
I will send a Zoom link to your given email address at least 10 minutes before the session is scheduled to begin. The sessions can be 60 or 90 minutes in length, but this must be decided in advance.

A session may consist of one or more of the following:
-
a short lesson on a topic of your choice (i.e. I really don’t understand voltage, can you explain it to me?)
-
going over practice problems. We can start a problem from scratch, or send me your first attempt at a solution and we’ll go from there (recommended)
-
reviewing corrected work
-
discussing study skills and/or test taking strategies

Sending me materials in advance helps me cater the session to your needs, so don’t hesitate to bombard me with problems or questions by email! It’ll help us both make the most of our time together.

During the session I use a screen share with a whiteboard, and use a tablet and stylus for problem solving. Afterwards I will email you the pdf of everything that I’ve written.
How does payment work?
Send an etransfer for the full amount to robynstutoringservices@gmail.com.
Can I have a receipt for my records?
No problem! Receipts available on request.
Is there a discount if I book a few sessions at once?
Sure! See the pricing page here.
Are group sessions available?
I am happy to do a session with a maximum of two students at a time. Any more and it’s hard for me to meet your individual needs, but I want to offer something for when you’re studying with a friend and have similar questions. See pricing for more details.
How does scheduling work?
I prefer booking a weekly time slot but I have some flexibility. Give me some options for what works with your schedule and I’ll get back to you! Note that I also have some daytime availability in case you have gaps in your school schedule. Close to midterms/exam time I can offer you some extra time to review.

Please note that availability is limited. I can only guarantee a session if you reserve a weekly appointment.
Will you do assignments or take homes for me?
This I will not do. We can talk through relevant questions, I can give you tips and tricks, but academic integrity is important to me.
