Hi! My name is Robyn Bycok, formerly Robyn Campbell. I'm excited for the opportunity to share my passion for physics with you!

Educational Background

Bachelor of Science, Honours with Distinction: Mathematics and Physics (Mount Allison University)

Masters of Science, High Energy Physics (Carleton University)

Masters of Arts in Teaching and Learning, specialization in Secondary Mathematics (McGill University)

I hold a Brevet (teaching license) in the province of Quebec.

Teaching Experience

I have experience teaching at the CEGEP level, at both Marianopolis College and Dawson College. I have also taught in a number of private high schools. Before my teaching degree, I worked as a private in-home tutor for a tutoring company in Ottawa. As a result, I am well-versed in the Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia (my homeland) math and science curriculum.

Research Interests

My graduate work was in theoretical particle physics, more specifically looking at modifying standard particle models to include dark matter. See a list of my publications here.

Through the teaching component of this degree as well as tutoring on the side, I realized that my passion lies in education. I decided to do a Masters degree that combined course work, projects, and placements at McGill. My final project examined the benefit of teaching game theory in high school math classrooms.
